Versatility is important when it comes to a laboratory because no two processes are identical. You may need to mix a large carboy, or you may need to mix several erlenmeyer flasks. Standard shakers come equipped with adhering mats, where items are placed on top and allowed to sit while mixing with no additional attachments.
