AirClean® Systems particulate pre-filters use electrostatically charged fiber media to effectively capture submicron particulates before air reaches the main filtration stage. By trapping contaminants such as smoke, acid mists, and other fine airborne particles, the pre-filter extends the service life of downstream HEPA or ULPA filters and helps maintain consistent system performance. Each AirClean Systems unit ships with a pre-filter installed, and routine replacement ensures that the hood continues to deliver the containment levels required for operator safety or sample protection.
