Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq
Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq is engineered for controlled polymerase activity. This achieved through the design of Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq to be bound with a monoclonal antibody that blocks enzyme activity. This allows polymerase reactions to be set up at room temperature without the risk of non-specific amplification.
The process by which Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq works is relatively simple. When samples are prepared and you are ready to begin the reaction, the reaction mixture is heated to 95°C to denature the antibody and initiate the reaction. Similar to the standard Accuris Taq, this Hot Start Taq is provided with a 5 X buffer, or in a ready to use 2 X Master Mix. The Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq Master Mix can be ordered with or without a red gel loading dye, to suit your personal preference. Researchers preferring a chemically modified Hot Start polymerase should order the Accuris Hot Start ChemMod pack.
When it comes to Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq polymerase, the improved yield, activity, sensitivity and speed of the reaction are achieved by modifying the polymerase with the addition of hydrophilic residues. A proprietary 5 X buffer system with PCR enhancers and optimal levels of MgCl2 has been created to partner with Benchmark Accuris Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase and is supplied in this package. Little, if any, optimization is needed when it comes to the protocol for carrying out this reaction.
Accuris enzymes and reagents are tested under general assay conditions for activity, reproducibility, efficiency, heat activation, sensitivity, and absence of nuclease contamination and nuclease activity.
