Benchmark CoolCube

Benchmark CoolCube - an ideal workstation - a true replacement for an ice bucket.

Designed to occupy the least amount of bench space while ensuring peak performance of your sample reactions. With the flip over design, the CoolCube has the capacity to hold 96 x 0.2ml tubes, 12 x 0.2ml strips, 1 x 96 well PCR plate and up to 36 x 1.5/2ml tubes. This design and capacity make it ideal for setting up PCR reactions. For use, the CoolCube is frozen overnight at -20C. Upon placing it on the bench, it climbs sharply up to about -5C and then in the next 30 minutes, to a little below 0C. For the next 2.5 hours, will hold that temperature. After 4 hours, it should be returned to the freezer.

The CoolCube™ is designed to store samples safely on the lab bench without sample degradation due to temperature increase or fluctuation. Constructed of Dura Star (a high strength polymer) and a proprietary gel refrigerant, the CoolCube maintains temperature at approximately 0°C for up to four hours. Simply place the CoolCube in a freezer overnight and it’s ready for use, keeping samples cool and safe at the bench, without messy ice buckets or wet tubes. One side of the CoolCube can be used as a convenient PCR workstation, with wells for 10 standard 1.5/2.0ml microtubes and one 96well PCR plate or 0.2ml tubes/strips. The other side can be used to hold 36 standard 1.5/2.0ml microtubes.
