The Drummond Pipet-Aid XL is a portable, motorized pipette controller designed specifically to reduce arm, shoulder, and neck fatigue during extended pipetting sessions - particularly when working under a fume hood or biosafety cabinet. At 10 inches in length and just 8 ounces, the XL features a longer, lightweight handle that lowers the user's arm position compared to conventional pipette controllers, minimizing the repetitive lifting that leads to strain over the course of a workday. An adjustable sliding hand rest further support comfortable, single-handed operation while allowing the unit to be set down between uses without contaminating the attached pipette.

The XL accommodates glass, plastic and blow-out serological and volumetric pipettes ranging from 1 mL to 100 mL. Individual speed controls are provided for both aspirate and dispense modes with three selectable settings - fast, medium, and slow - on each button, giving users precise control whether rapidly filling large-volume pipettes or performing careful deliveries with smaller ones.
