The Drummond Pipet-Aid XP2 is a compact, cordless pipette controller that combines ergonomic comfort with precise liquid handling in a lightweight, portable design. Measuring just 5.5 inches and weighing 7.2 ounces, the XP2 is one of the most compact motorized pipette controllers available, making it easy to maneuver in tight workspaces and comfortable to hold during extended pipetting sessions. It accommodates glass, plastic, and blow-out serological and volumetric pipettes from 1 mL to 100 mL. Individual speed controls are provided for both aspirate and dispense modes with three selectable settings - fast, medium and slow - on each button, and each button can be set independently so users can, for example, fill on fast and deliver on slow. Flow rate is also proportional to button pressure, giving an additional layer of fine control beyond the speed selection.A new powerful pump improves fluid movement and reduces noise level, keeping the lab environment quieter during routine pipetting.

The XP2 runs on a 3.6 V NiMH rechargeable battery and can be charged while in use via the included power supply, eliminating downtime during long protocols. The nosepiece cover makes filter and battery replacement easy through a snap-fit design, and a nosepiece lock prevents accidental detachment during pipetting. A self-locking double-layer membrane filter protects the handle from contamination and alerts the user if over-pipetting occurs.
