The Drummond Pipet-Aid Hood Mate is specifically designed for convenient, comfortable pipetting under the hood. The Drummond Pipet-Aid Hood Mate can deliver precise volumes with exact control. This new Drummond Pipet-Aid Hood Mate unit is lightweight, never requires recharging – the unit operates on 110V current – and won’t walk away from your workstation. The Drummond Pipet-Aid Hood Mate is made from UV resistant materials and has improved hose support for long product lifespan.

The extremely lightweight (4.3 oz.) handle of the Drummond Pipet-Aid Hood Mate provides 9 fill and empty speed settings and proportional fingertip control. The energy saving auto-shut-off feature automatically shuts the unit off after 3 minutes of non-use. The dedicated pump housing attaches to the hood wall which saves space on the work surface inside the hood and prevents spills. The coiled vacuum/pressure line enters the handle from the top which prevents accidental knocking over of items on the bench surface. The new, longer 6 inch coiled hose of the Drummond Pipet-Aid Hood Mate has a 4 inch working distance.

The Handle can be “parked” on the Hood Mate body two ways. Parking the handle by the hook allows the handle to be stored with a pipette in it. When the handle is in either park position, the pump will shut off. Removing the handle from the parked position turns on the pump and the RED indicator light. If the handle is not parked and has not been used for pipetting, the Hood Mate will shut itself off in 3 minutes, but depressing the semi-circular button on the top of the holster can reactivate it.
