Fixed-Angle Rotor FA-6x250 ID, Aerosol-Tight Lid, RFID-based Rotor Detection, 6×250 mL Max Capacity, 10000 × g Max Speed

The Eppendorf FA-6×250 ID rotor is a high-speed fixed-angle rotor that combines large capacity with strong centrifugal force. With six positions accommodating up to 250 mL flat-bottom bottles each and a maximum RCF of 10,000 × g, it is well suited for applications that demand both high volume and efficient pelleting - such as bacterial harvesting from culture media, protein precipitation or large-scale nucleic acid isolation.

A range of adapters extends its versatility down to tubes as small as 2.6 mL, so a single rotor can handle everything from 250 mL bottles to 5 mL round-bottom tubes. The rotor also features RFID-based identification for automatic detection by the centrifuge, which sets the correct speed limits and tracks usage cycles as part of the Rotor Lifetime Management system.

The rotor body is rated for 70,000 cycles and the aerosol-tight QuickLock® Pro lid for 27,000 cycles, and both are autoclavable at 121 °C.
