Labcon - SuperClear® Culture Tubes
Super Clear and Super Strong
These precision-molded, conical and round bottom tubes are perfect for a multitude of general laboratory uses. Precision crafted of extra clear virgin polypropylene in natural and colors or clear virgin polystyrene. Tube caps are made of low density polyethylene for a secure seal and are available in a fluted plug style or dual position design that permits sample aspiration.
Polypropylene tubes are autoclavable to 122°C and freezable to -90° C. Polystyrene tubes are not autoclavable but have a nominal temperature range between 90°C and -40°C. Polyethylene caps are not autoclavable, but are available sterile with many of the tube packages. Polypropylene tubes can be centrifuged to 3000 RCF and polystyrene tubes will withstand 1500 RCF.
Sterile and Non-Sterile tubes are supplied in medical grade packaging and are radiation sterilized following a validated ISO 11137 method so you don't have to limit use of these tubes to research applications.

The cavities of the high-grade aluminum blocks are precision machined to match the conical size and shape of 0.5,1.5, 2.0, 15 and 50 mL tube sizes, providing unsurpassed temperature uniformity. Nine assorted blocks are available in total for compatibility with nearly all common tube sizes. Custom blocks are also available upon request.
