Description: 100 bp DNA Ladder consists of 11 DNA fragments ranging in size from 100-1500 base pairs (bp). 6µl will yield at least 30 ng DNA in any single band. The intensity of the 500 bp band has been increased to serve as a reference for easy identification. . This ladder can also be used side by side with the 100 bp-50 DNA Ladder (Cat. No. M109) for more accurate estimation of the size your DNA fragments.
Usage: Add at least 6µl 100bp DNA Ladder directly to wells designated for markers. You may need more than 6µl of ladder, depending on well size and level of intensity needed to visualize the bands.

Description: 1Kb DNA Ladder II is a proprietary mixture of several plasmids digested to completion with specific restriction enzymes to produce a ladder with 11 fragments ranging from 0.5-10.0Kb, producing the most complete and convenient ladder in the 1Kb DNA ladder family. The intensity of the some bands has been increased to yield internal reference indicators. 6µl will yield at least of 30ng DNA in any single DNA band.

The Pre-SafeStained 1Kb DNA Ladder contains 13 DNA fragments ranging from 100bp to 10Kb. It is pre-stained so it can be visualized directly after running the gel without further DNA staining steps.
The SafeStain 6X DNA Loading Dye contains two tracking dyes and also the same safe green fluorescent dye as in DNA ladder. The two tracking dyes are for monitoring the running of the agarose gel, and the green fluorescent dye is to stain the DNA samples.
By using this special DNA loading dye, your agarose gel will reveal two different colors, blue and yellow while running and green fluorescent bands of DNA under LED or UV light without extra staining steps. DNA ladder and your samples will emit a green light (530nm).

The two regular dyes are for monitoring the agarose gel while it is running, and the green fluorescent dye is to replace the toxic carcinogen ethidium bromide (EtBr).

DNA SafeStain is a new and safe nucleic acid stain for visualization of double-stranded DNA, single-stranded DNA, and RNA in agarose gels. The dyes are developed to replace toxic ethidium bromide (EthBr, a potent mutagen), commonly used in gel electrophoresis for visualization of nucleic acids in agarose gels. DNA SafeStain is non-carcinogenic by the Ames-test. The results are negative in both the mouse marrow chromophilous erthrocyte micronucleus and mouse spermary spermatocyte chromosomal aberration tests.
DNA SafeStain emits green fluorescence when bound to DNA. It has two excitation wavelength peaks when bound to nucleic acid, at 290nm and 490nm. The emission wavelength for the DNA SafeStain is 530nm.
