Simport Scientific Petri Dishes
Simport Scientific petri dishes are offered in a variety of shapes and sizes for your everyday research needs. Simport manufactures optically clear dishes which are precision-molded from biomedical grade polystyrene for cell culture. Dishes are packed in heavy-wall polyethylene sleeves to ensure product integrity. Simport petri dishes have many applications including cell culture, growing bacteria and growing yeast. 
Simport Scientific sterile square petri dishes with grids are made of polystyrene. Commonly known as a 100mm x 15mm dish. Free from optical distortion and sterile. These dishes are ideal for phage typing, susceptibility testing, plate counts, and probe assays. Each 13mm grid is marked numerically in one direction and alphabetically in the other. These petri dishes are equipped with four venting ribs into the underside of the lid to prevent condensation build-up.
Simport Scientific absorbent pad petri dishes are 50 x 9mm and sterile with absorbent pads that are ideal for culturing micro-organisms on agar or broth-based media. They are designed to accommodate 47mm diameter membrane filters. They are stackable petri dishes and have squared off edges on both the top and bottom which provide convenient grips for one handed opening and handling. The snug fitting top ensures that neither the absorbent pad nor the agar media will dry out during incubation. A coated area on top of lid permits labeling for easy culture identification.
