LabTech BlueStar Series UV-Vis Spectrophotometers Product Description
LabTech BlueStar Series UV-Vis Spectrophotometers are highly intuitive, high-performance, and exceptional value instruments. BlueStar spectrometers offer local and PC control paired with large LCD and user-friendly interface. An integrated 32-bit CPU guarantees sophisticated data and graphics processing. The chamber handles a high capacity for fast throughput.
LabTech BlueStar UV-Vis Spectrophotometer – High Quality Components, Processing, and Analysis
The BlueStar UV-Vis Spectrophotometers A and B were made to increase the efficiency of performing photometric work without sacrificing the quality or power of the machine. LabTech targeted several aspects inherent in spectrometry work that often cause a hindrance in throughput.
First is the ability to interface with the machine and perform the work that needs to be done. Second, the internal capacity of the machine to handle and process large amounts of work well. Third, resisting contamination to ensure quality work is being performed without aberration. Fourth, versatility of a single machine to perform different kinds of experiments at a high level.
Easy to Understand and Easy to Use – An Intuitive Interface
LabTech BlueStar UV-Vis Spectrophotometers are equipped with a large LCD interface. The machine is operated via a simple keypad with corresponding directions on the large, easy-to-understand screen. Operation, as far as interfacing with the machine is simple and requires only a basic understanding of the function, but also navigating through the machine interface is simplified for user accessibility. Units can be controlled either through the interface, or for extra convenience, users can perform their experiments through a PC interface connected to their spectrometer.
Automated, Spacious, and Convenient – Capacity to Achieve Extraordinary Results
LabTech designed the BlueStar line of UV-Vis Spectrophotometers with the understanding that scientists often require differently sized cells or just a lot of cells, so the capacity on these machines reflects that same knowledge. The cell holder can handle up to six cells at once. Furthermore, the cell holder is on the auto-rotary system, so users can expect a much shorter sample exchange time, since samples will automatically be exchanged. The sample compartment can hold up to a 100mm cell.
Designed to Resist Contamination – Consistent, Reliable, Repeatable Results
As the main feature of spectrometry equipment, the optical system is incredibly important for producing high quality results, but it can also be very delicate. It is susceptible to contamination, unless it is protected. BlueStar UV-Vis Spectrophotometers use quartz windows on the entrance and exit ports in the sample chamber to carefully shield the optical system from contamination, and ultimately ensure results are reproducible and reliable. Furthermore, the optical system is completely sealed, thus even protecting it from air contamination.
Powerful Software, Versatile Production – One Machine for Many Tasks
The BlueStar models are equipped with high quality components and a unique mechanical design to get the most out of them. LabTech sought out top components (deuterium lamp, silicon, photodiode detector, and holographic grating) from quality manufacturers to ensure results are accurate, and then supported these components with the software and protection to perform their best work. The UV-Vis Spectrophotometers are equipped with effective anti-external interference capability. The software and hardware mean that users can perform a variety of experiments including:
- Photometric Measurement
- Spectrum Scanning
- Quantitative Determination
- Kinetic Measurement
- Multi-Component Analysis
- Data Processing
Both models, A and B, have a 2nm bandwidth, but the B model can also operate at a 1nm bandwidth.
